The conventional work experience placement does not suit many workplaces. Our impact measurement shows that a project based approach creates more value for the young person and the employer.
We have developed a model for an an inspiring week long programme which we have called Young Consultants. This is an innovative way to do work experience designed for the modern world. it is focused around a real world challenge or project. It builds on best practice such as project based learning , businesses who co-produce with end-users and organisations who engage young people in tackling challenges in the community.
We are keen to work with employers and businesses who are willing to fund a week long challenge programme where young people work deliver a project they define.
We are currently working with three employers to develop tailored programmes that enable young people to deliver their brief – creating products of real value and learning valuable skills in the process. Two of these project will be to make short films.
